We have a fantastic opportunity to join one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of chartered accountants within Edinburgh City Centre. They consist of 4 partners and 60 staff. They provide a range of services to organisations in several different sectors.

We are looking for a part-qualified accountant to join our clients friendly and supportive accounts department where you will be a valued and integral part of the team. You will be working on a varied portfolio of accounts clients. These clients are in a variety of sectors and range from small, limited companies to sole traders and partnerships.

Your main duties for these clients will include:

Preparation of statutory accounts
Preparation of corporation tax returns
Preparation of VAT returns
Assisting clients and managers with queries
Coaching/assisting junior staff members
Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlinesKnowledge and experience desired:

Part qualified/qualified by experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Accountancy Firm
Good working understanding of accounting standards/accounting principles
Experience of CCH, Xero, Sage and other cloud systemsBenefits
