Our Client in Aberdeen is looking for an Accounts Assistant for a 12 month contract.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

* Monthly journals preparation and posting

* Balance sheet reconciliations

* Supporting wider business with information requests

* Preparation of VAT returns

* Dealing with AR and AP departments and related issues as an when required

* Support month end close and subsequent reporting

* Other accounting tasks as required

Skills & Experience Required:

* Part qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent), or qualified by experience (at least 5years)

* Month end closing and reporting procedures

* Preparing and posting journals

* Balance sheet reconciliations

* Well organised, able to prioritise and work to a tight deadline

* Happy to work independently and as part of a larger team

* Microsoft Package experience – Excellent excel skills – pivots / complex formulae

Desirable:

* Experience of working with a known ERP

* Oracle would be advantageous
