A global FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to be the main point of contact for departmental Engineering activities whilst driving significant improvement in overall engineering performance and changeover adherence across multiple manufacturing lines, with varied levels of automation. A food, Packaging, Pharmaceutical or Medical Devise manufacturing background would be advantageous for this role.

Engineering Manager responsibilities include:

Act as the main point of contact for departmental Engineering initiatives, budgets, continuous improvement and best practice.
Deliver world class performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Service, Cost, Inventory, People).
Supporting and assisting production to ensure targets are achieved.
Responsible for the Development and Delivery maintenance best practice, using SAP PM for manufacturing improvement and engineering ‘’project’’ management implementing the site asset care strategy.
Establish a clear understanding of engineering standards and expectations.
Drive detailed engineering conversations with team but also suppliers and technical support functions internal / external.
Management of major breakdowns, corrective repairs, and planned outages/shutdowns including larger annual planned maintenances, (overhauls).
Responsible for long term health of the Assets, including the development and monitoring of the KPI's for Asset Performance and the monitoring for business health.
Coordinate cross functional teams to proactively solve engineering issues, allocate responsibilities and maintenance activities.
Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering team whilst ensuring they delivery their KPI’s and accountability's

You will ideally be degree / equivalent in a Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing discipline with the ability to manage people performance, coaching and development of a multi-disciplined team. You will have sound and proven financial acumen, delivers within agreed budgets, Influence the Capex Plan with a proactive, structured problem evaluation & solving skills learnt through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or Manufacturing excellence.

You will be an Engineering Manager / Engineering Team Manager used to leading in excess of 10+ reports in a fast paced FMCG Manufacturing environment.
