The key responsibilities include:

* Reconciliation of client accounts

* Financial accounts and tax returns

* Prepare year-end accounts

* Prepare both business and personal tax returns

* Provide analytical reviews of accounts and highlight any business improvement measures as well as tax savings

* Analyse client records

* Highlight any discrepancies within client records and rectify where necessary

* Maintain notes to ensure all records are up to date

* Provide support in other areas of the business when required

The key skills / knowledge / experience required:

* Degree / college level accounting qualification or relevant job experience

* Previous experience within a practise is essential

* Previous experience and knowledge of preparing financial accounts of an array of different clients

* Efficient in Sage, Xero, Freeagent, QuickBooks etc accounting software

* Excellent communication and organisational skills
