has a capacity for 90 children and an unusual free flow terrace garden attached to Pre-School, where the successful candidate will have demonstrated they met the Teachers' Standards in Early Years.

Main duties and responsibilities:

To provide and maintain a high quality service to children working as part of a staff team to meet children's individual needs.
To lead a team in your assigned room.Children and Families:

To develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
To lead staff on areas agreed by the Manager eg EYFS delivery, SEN.
To assist with the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities to meet children's needs.
To work within the EYFS and promote high standards of care for the children.
To assume responsibility for key children and ensure their developmental needs are met, accurately recorded and learning diaries are up to date.
To maintain a child-centred environment by reviewing displays and resources with the team.
To use observation and reflective practice to contribute to planning and evaluation in the setting.
To maintain children's safety and wellbeing at all times during attendance at the play setting and on trips to external facilities.
To take any action required to ensure the safety and welfare of children and to report any concern immediately to the Nursery Manager or DSL.
To ensure good communication with staff and parent's / carers.Requirements

This individual will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.

Minimum Early Years Teacher Status or equivalent.
At least 1 years experience in a childcare setting.
Experience in a leadership or management role.
A great understanding of the EYFS.
Excellent knowledge of child protection procedures.
A passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
