We are looking for full-time & part-time & relief Care staff to join our team in the Edinburgh area (EH13/EH14 postcodes)
Circa £21,500 Full-time, pro-rata salary (Plus enhancement for sleep-ins) and excellent benefits
Various shifts are available on a Permanent basis (Full time & Part-time)
Being a support worker is all about improving people's quality of life and helping them to be totally in the driving seat when it comes to planning and living their lives to the full
This role will be varied and not only will you become a positive role model in their lives, but you will also be supporting them with many aspects of daily living such as shopping, preparing meals, housework, and support with aspects of personal care along with numerous community-based activities and outings.
You must have a genuine interest in supporting people with learning disabilities and be able to clearly differentiate between care and support: the emphasis is on enabling people to do things for themselves, not doing things for them.
Experience is welcome but not essential as there is no substitute for the right attitude, caring nature, and a sense of humor.
We can and do provide a comprehensive induction and ongoing learning with the opportunity to complete recognised social care qualifications.
