Business Development VP

Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)

Salary:  £40k – £80k + Pension + Life Assurance + Healthcare + 33days Holidays

Commission (OTE) £10,000 – £20,000 (uncapped)

Bonus (OTE) TBC

The Client:

Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry. The company work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems, improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data.

The Role:

The Business Development VP identifies, develops and secures opportunities across the breadth of the company’s offerings to ensure its growth strategy is met. They are the focal point for driving direct sales to potential customers in nominated key accounts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Driving new business sales to meet expansion plans in key vertical markets
Establishes and maintains proactive and productive relationships with prospects and key decision makers

Actively involved in sales related activities including:

Securing new business revenues and new customers
Driving delivery of commercial objectives
Identification and management of leads and opportunities
Sales strategy development
Sales funnel management, forecasting and reporting (sales force)
Key account management and planning
Proposal development
Steering strategic campaigns and approaches
Representing the company at conferences, industry events etc.
Developing strategic partnerships
Identify key areas of improvement for sales process


Degree qualified
5 years in direct sales
1 year in tech / digital space / SaaS
2 year serving corporates (ideally energy sector)
Working experience in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
Delivering sales to corporate customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional presenter
